Thank you for being part of the 2025 Class of Fayetteville’s 40 Under 40

In 2024, the program entered a new chapter under the leadership of Ayana Washington, a proud member of the 2024 class and committed community advocate. With the mentorship of Sharon Moyer, who launched this initiative in 2010, and the support of The Fayetteville Observer’s Beth Hutson, the program continues to evolve while honoring its legacy.

Ayana’s vision for the initiative includes a rotating committee made up of past honorees and community leaders. This committee will help guide the program’s continued growth—planning ceremonies and events that reflect the voices of the alumni and spotlight emerging leaders across the Sandhills region and surrounding counties, including Bladen, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Montgomery, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, and Columbus.
